The Artist's Daughter Story
I am the daughter of a well known western artist and cartoonist, Hal Empie. I have been introduced as the Artist's Daughter all my life. I registered the name many years ago. My parents, Louise and Hal, moved to Tubac from Duncan, Arizona in 1984. They built the building that houses the Hal Empie Studio and Gallery. I needed space for my dad's western postcards, Empie Kartoon Kards. Dad suggested they add on a little building for me, thus... The Artist's Daughter shop was born!! I still carry Empie Kartoon Kards and tons more!!! I opened in 1986.
My husband Peter and I keep very busy having both the gallery and my shop. I don't know what we would do without our helpers that have become good friends!!
Tubac is a terrific artisans village and a great place to live. We invite you to visit us....shop the shop, enjoy the gallery and see dad's studio, and we'll share the Arizona history of our family.

Thanks for visiting our website and we look forward to meeting you in person.
